We have been an official repair centre for Control Techniques servo motors for the past 7 years. One of our customers had a failure with a 142UM Unimotor. We collected the servo motor from his site and began to asses the motor. We found that the brake unit had burnt out and also the banding securing the rotor magnets had deteriorated beyond repair. As with all Control Techniques servo motors we hold a vast amount of spare parts for the Unimotor and Dutymax motors. We took a new rotor, brake assembly and a general assembly kit from our stores and proceeded to carry out the repair. The motor was built up by our OEM trained engineers and the feedback alignment was set. The motor was fully tested and load tested to verify the operation. As with all Control Techniques servo motor repairs we provide shaft protection sleeves and connector covers.
