Car Plant Body Shop up and Running Thanks to our Service Exchange Motor Stock
A large Japanese car manufacturing plant sent a Fanuc servo motor A06B-0372-B169 to us for an emergency service. One of their robot lines was stopped. We received the motor on a Saturday morning. The customer stated he was getting over current alarms on the robot. Our assessment showed that the motor windings were shorting (turn to turn) this was picked up by our Baker Surge test. We knew that the customer was in a high pressure situation and the most important thing was to have the robot line up and running again. Thinking of the best interests of our customer we offered him a service exchange motor from our stock. The motor was put on a courier and sent to him. We managed to shorten the plant stoppage time by about 20 hours by us providing a service exchange motor instead of a repair
